Duare Sarkar is an initiative of the state government, spread over 60 days, for delivery of specific schemes of the state government at the doorsteps of the people through outreach camps organized at the level of gram panchayat and municipal ward level.(source)

Duare Sarkar was announced on 1 Dec,2020 to reach the government scheme on the peoples' doorstep.

Aims

This programme aims to bring 11 schemes of the state government( West Bengal) to the doorsteps of the people.

                That are listed below-

• Kanyashree :- Kanyashree Prakalpa seeks to improve the status and well being of girls, specifically those from socio-economically disadvantages families through Conditional Cash Transfers by: Incentivizing them to continue in education for a longer period of time, and complete secondary or higher secondary education, or equivalent in technical or vocational steams, thereby giving them a better footing in both the economic and social spheres.

• Rupashree :-At the State Budget for the financial year 2018-19 tabled on 31st January 2018, the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Government of West Bengal, announced a one-time financial grant of Rs. 25,000 for economically stressed families at the time of their adult daughters’ marriages.The grant, to be provided under the name of “Rupashree Prakalpa”, is aimed at mitigating the difficulties that poor families face in bearing the expenditure of their daughters’ marriages, for which they often have to borrow money at very high interest rates.

• Sikshashree :-Formerly day-scholar students of class V-VIII belonging to Scheduled Caste category enjoyed two grants namely a) assistance in the form of book grant and b) assistance in the form of maintenance grant.

• Aikyashree :- Aikyashree is a scholarship programme under WBMDFC (West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation), which is intended to support deserving students (at both school and college level) of West Bengal.

• Khadya Sathi :- The main purpose of this project is to ensure food and nutrition by supply of food. Under this project about 8 crore 66 lac people, that is almost 90.6% of population, would come under food security. With the inspiration of Chief Minister Mamata Bandyopadhyay, Khadya Sathi Project under RKSY has come into effect throughout the state from 27 January, 2016, for those who had not been earmarked under NFSA backward in socio-economic terms.

• Jai Johar :- The scheme is for the betterment of ST people.

• Taposili Bondhu :- Financially helped for poor people of West Bengal [Old Peoples]. According to this scheme, all selected candidates get Rs-/ 1000 per month.

• MGNREGS :- It aims to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of wage employment in a financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work. This act was passed in September 2005 under the UPA government of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
